Last week we covered my 10 top picks for fall 2022 fashion, now this week we'll cover the must-haves for everything but fashion. Because what is fall fashion without all the supporting details and fun of the season?
Fall Scents:
What is fall without a pumpkin spice candle? There's a reason it is this high on my list. In the case of living in the dorms, we can't have candles, not in plain sight anyway, so I got a holiday scent pack off Amazon of essential oils for my oil diffuser. It has pumpkin patch, cinnamon, snickerdoodle, caramel, and also some wintery scents like candy cane and evergreen. A fall scent is a must-have for getting in the autumnal spirit.
Sweet Treats:
Apple cider donuts are my all time favorite fall treat. So dang good, plus have such a nostalgic feeling. Support your local apple orchards and bakeries by treating yourself to some fall sweets. Pumpkin bread, cake, pumpkin anything. Caramel apples, apple crisp, pie, and apple anything. Throw some candy corn in there. There's so many options that are just so necessary for the fall season. There's also more than food. We have to consider drinks of course! Apple cider, hot chocolate, fall themed drinks: caramel, apple, and pumpkin spice. I tried an apple crisp latte from Starbucks, I don't know if I'd get it again, but it was fun!
Movies:
Some of my favorite movies are Halloween and fall movies. Autumn is the time to stay in and watch a ton of films. Hocus Pocus 2 just came out in the end of September. My roommates and I got ice cream and stayed in on a Friday night to watch it, we definitely recommend, though the original still has my heart. Disney has great fall and Halloween throwbacks to watch. Of course horror movies are always fun, a new movie in the Halloween franchise is even coming out this year. And of course I can't write about fall/Halloween movies without mentioning my personal favorite, Practical Magic. DEFINITELY GO WATCH!
Experiences:
One of the best things about fall is how pretty it is outside, so you've just got to get out there and enjoy it. Go to an apple orchard, corn maze or a pumpkin patch! There's so much fun to experience and feel the last warmth of the year (at least here in Minnesota).
I hope you enjoyed my quick little rundown of my fav fall things. So go outside, jump in some leaves, come inside, curl up on the couch with pumpkin spice coffee and fall treats, and watch a movie. ;)
