Welcome to 2024!
I'm officially back settled back in from holiday break and back to work and school.
I don't have much of an update because the last few weeks I've spent celebrating the holidays, spending time with my family, and catching up with friends. I finished my fall semester of junior year strong! This fall holds such a special place in my heart. And afterwards, I had a great winter break that gave me a breath of fresh air after finishing my finals.
Now that I'm back in St. Paul, I'm back living with Katelyn and Cece is in Guatemala for the month. You can read about her first week on her blog. Such an amazing experience for her to travel and continue learning Spanish, however we miss her very much.
I started my J-term class last week, a U.S. history class. I like it so far and am such a history nerd so my classmates should be thankful we are not in person or else they'd be forced to hear me yap yap yap all month. Each day I have a couple video lectures to watch, some reading, and an assignment or two. It works well with my work schedule thats amped up for the month so I can bank up some more money before heading into spring semester.
In starting the New Year, I've naturally set some goals for myself. Having a J-Term should hopefully (fingers crossed) help set me up for success before the intensity of the next semester starting in February. I really want to commit to journaling more regularly so I set up my 2024 journal. So far, it has a current photo of me, a 2024 mood board I collaged, a list of "Ins & Outs" as well as goals and manifestations, and finally lists of my current favorite things.
This post was short and sweet, but I have some articles coming up that I'm really excited about sharing.
I hope you all have a happy New Year!
<3 Lainey
