Welcome back everyone, and welcome to the new school year!

Almost 2 weeks ago, I moved into a house with my best friends. They are familiar characters of course, reprising our roles as roommates from last year. We signed our lease on this house last October, so move in has been a long time coming and I couldn't be happier to be here.

We each have our own rooms that are perfectly designed to fit our aesthetics. I love my room so much. It's so cozy and has all the things I love. I still need to get some photos on the wall yet. Our shared rooms in the house are coming together as well. They're all so girly and fun. Just eating together and doing chores feel so full of girlhood love. I know being in the house is still a new experience, but so far it has been the best thing.

Earlier this summer I saw a quote posted that read "I'm going to heal from this and someday I'll live in an apartment with a sunlit kitchen in a city I love and my best friends around the corner." I found myself thinking about how I can't wait for that to happen, and that it'll happen in the distant future, after college, and after I move to New York. And then I stopped and thought about it for a second: I already have that. This summer I've worked on growing in all areas of my life, and for the first time in years, I feel like myself again. I've connected better with friends and I've felt more present and more joyful. And now, I live in a house, in a city I love, with a sunlit kitchen, and my best friends a door away.

One of my favorite first week outfits in the perfect "fit check" mirror in the entry of our house. This will not be the last time it is shown on this blog!

It had been so hot Labor Day weekend. Our house doesn't have AC so it was nearly 90 degrees inside. Lucky for us, temperatures dropped to the most perfect fall weather. Now, being in the house is comfortable, I can actually uses blankets when going to bed, and the biggest perk: cute fall outfits for the first week of school!

Last Wednesday I had my first day of classes. I'm going back to a full course load of four classes this summer, which I am nervous for, but I'm also very excited. All my classes are very interesting to me. The one I'm most excited to be taking is Multimedia Reporting, Why? DUH, it's what I'm in college for. It is the core of what I want to do with my major, and Advanced Reporting comes next semester. My other classes are English Literature and Writing, Theology of Angels and Demons, and Media Literacy. I've only had one class for my English and Media Literacy, but I know I'll like both. English is one of my all time favorite subjects and my professor seems very cool. Media Literacy is a very important class, as I mentioned in my last post, and the assignments sound very interesting as well. And with Theology, I am already obsessed. I have a weird fascination for that side of religions and spiritual practices. And I should apologize to my class now for how much they'll be hearing my voice in class discussion.

Besides school, I'm still working my on campus tech job. I have my first concert in the quad of the year on Thursday. But for more exciting career news, I got an editorial internship this semester! I'll be working with magazines in the Twin Cities area doing article fact checking and working on the calendar section as well as getting to see behind the scenes of layout and photography shoots. I could not be more excited to get back into the editorial world. Speaking of, I'm continuing on the board for the Fashion Association at the school I transferred from this year, and we're starting up a fashion advice column which is exciting news.

Although I've been back by campus for less than 2 weeks, so much has already happened and so much is just starting. I'll be back next month for another College Diary, but until then, look out for content in my favorite season of fashion: fall!
